Job summary

Ducommun, Inc. in Coxsackie, NY seeks an Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering functions for the performance center, including new product development and implementation.

The role leads tool design, manufacturing engineering, project engineering, and document control, ensuring programs meet schedule, cost and quality targets. You will partner with product marketing, operations, and external developers; drive lean processes, gate reviews, and ISO audits, and mentor a growing engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• Previous managerial experience required.
• Experience with Unigraphics CAD/CAM and Kaizen/Lean practices is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Leads, supervises, and directs the Engineering department (tool design, manufacturing engineering, project engineering, document control).
• Acts as a key member of the management team.
• Manages Capex implementations and major facility improvements.
• Directs the product development group where issues are identified and improved early in the process.
• Leads manufacturing lean processes in product flow, tooling, and standard work procedures.
• Provides leadership with input for manufacturability, direct, and non-recurrent costs for bids and proposals.
