Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is offering an internship at the Columbus Engine Center in Georgia. You will work under engineers to learn engine disassembly, inspection support, and parts cleaning while following safety rules and training requirements.

The program targets students enrolled in machining or certified manufacturing programs, with hands-on practice in tools and engine components, at an onsite RTX facility. FAA safety requirements apply, and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in the Certified Manufacturing or Machining Program at Columbus Technical School or a local area High School.
• Machining or Vocational training.

Responsibilities

• Engine disassembly/assembly – Assist in mechanic duties to disassemble and assemble engines, engine sections and accessories.
• Clean – Assist in cleaning of engine parts and components.
• Assist with visual checks to assess minimal part condition for continued use where applicable.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
• Ability to manage tools and tooling to ensure serviceability before and after use and process appropriately when issues arise.
