Job summary

WSU Tech is seeking an Industry Trainer (Aerospace Embedded) in Independence, KS to deliver instruction across college and industry locations. The role includes classroom lectures, group discussions, and lab work with flexible day/evening/online formats.

The position is full-time, with a 90-day probationary period. Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of industry experience and are capable of coordinating training, completing reports, and maintaining professional relationships with industry

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements include an associate or bachelor degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Tech savvy with MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.
• Proven training or leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes defined industry certification processes to maintain trainer status.
• Attends scheduled class times for full duration of offers.
• Meets industry-training managers' needs with professionalism and high customer service.
• Seeks student feedback to identify needs and improve workplace readiness.
• Evaluates learning and documents course objectives and outcomes.
• Uses LMS platform and completes required reports and paperwork.
• Maintains a professional classroom environment that respects individuals.
• Submits documentation timely to college and industry.
• Maintains communication with Directors of Employer Services and Industry Training.
