WSU Tech seeks an Aerospace Embedded Industry Partner Trainer to provide training and assess learning across multiple delivery locations, with day, evening, weekend, and online options. The role emphasizes industry certification, effective communication, and professional classroom management to support student outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant industry work experience, aerospace know-how, and strong MS Office skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic training

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Bachelor, preferred, OR combination of education, training and related experience is required.
• Proven experience as a trainer, or workplace leader.
• Documented experience in applicable Aerospace Manufacturing skill areas and subject matter expertise.
• Aerospace Assembly or Sheet Metal experience preferred.
• Inspection or Management experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years full time equivalent work experience in industry, required.
• Tech savvy, advanced user skills with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize workflow, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Successfully completes defined required industry certification processes to maintain trainer status.
• Meets with classes on scheduled dates for full duration of class time.
• Meets industry-training managers’ needs in a timely and consistent manner; demonstrates professionalism and high customer service.
• Seeks student feedback to identify and meet needs to improve workplace qualification.
• Evaluates learning to document student mastery of course objectives.
• Utilizes LMS platform or completes paperwork related to the assignment including required reports.
• Maintains a professional classroom environment and respects individuals.
• Submits documentation to college and industry by due date and maintains communication with leadership.

Quick Glance of Duties and Responsibilities

• Successfully completes defined required industry certification processes in order to achieve and maintain qualified trainer status at their assigned organization.
• Meets with class(es) on the scheduled dates for the full duration of class time.
• Meets the needs of the industry-training managers in a timely and consistent manner. Demonstrates professionalism, high customer service, quality training and continuous improvement in the delivery of training to meet the demands and rigor of the industry.
• Seeks student feedback to identify and meet student needs in order to make them more qualified and efficient in the workplace.
• Evaluates learning in an ongoing effort to document student mastery of course objectives.
• Utilize LMS platform or complete paperwork related to the assignment, including completion of all required reports.
• Maintains classroom environment that supports learning as well as professional & respects individuals.
• Submits documentation to both the college and the industry by the established due date in a timely and accurate manner.
• Meets with the Director of Employer Services and the Director of Industry Training if and as requested; maintains close communication from industry necessary to sustain high quality customer/client relationships.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed
