Pratt & Whitney is expanding its Real-Time Embedded Systems team within CDS to tackle control and diagnostic software for aerospace engines. This internship/co-op/entry roles offer hands-on development across requirements, architecture, and integration for engine control software developed in C/C++.

You will collaborate with system architects and cross-functional teams, gain exposure to MIL-STD and DO-178 standards, and contribute to software verification and validation throughout the engine

Formación

• Must be pursing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Demonstrated software programming experience in C, C++, Python.
• Basic understanding of real-time embedded software concepts such as scheduling, concurrency, coherency.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and multi-core processors.
• Familiarity with SPI, MIL-STD-1394, MIL-STD-1553, and/or the Ethernet communication stacks.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software Configuration Management - JIRA and Git.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to requirements definition, software architecture, and low-level design activities for embedded software developed in C.
• Assist development activities to support compliance with airworthiness standards (MIL-STD-516 and DO-178).
• Support hardware/software integration and debugging on target platforms using logic analyzers, emulators, and hardware test benches.
• Collaborate with system architects and cross-functional engineering teams; communicate technical status, risks, and mitigation plans within the work area.
