Job summary

Heads Up Technologies is seeking an Electronics Technician to support new product development and design engineering through hands-on testing and prototype builds. You will work with electrical, mechanical, software, and FPGA engineers to move concepts to manufacturing release, performing environmental and electrical qualification tasks.

The role requires a degree or equivalent training and 3+ years of hands-on electronics experience, including soldering, wiring harness work, and test

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military electronics training required.
• 3+ years hands-on electronics testing/assembly experience.
• Soldering and rework on PCBs required.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Set up, instrument, and operate environmental test chambers for temperature, humidity, altitude, and thermal shock.
• Support HALT/HASS testing and fixture setup with data capture.
• Write, redline, and maintain test plans, procedures, and setup docs.
• Record test results with data logs, photos, and pass/fail observations.
• Assemble prototypes per drawings and BOMs; assist with wiring and harness work.
• Perform hand soldering and PCB modifications; verify continuity.
• Build mechanical/electromechanical assemblies and integrate subassemblies for testing.
• Maintain lab calibration, ESD controls, and test equipment readiness.
