Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled electronics technician for the Collins Aerospace unit in Windsor Locks, CT. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating and maintaining complex electronic systems on machinery and test equipment.

You will work from schematics and manuals, use oscilloscopes and voltmeters, and contribute to preventive maintenance programs. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–4 years of electronics trades training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Equivalent to 3-4 years trades training in electronics and related equipment.
• Certification for power industrial truck and respirator, plus license for over-the-road vehicles, preferred.
• Hazardous material handling, confined space and lock-out tag-out training is expected.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify and perform preventative maintenance on complex electronic systems.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and program instructions for repair work.
• Use oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters and other testing equipment to diagnose issues.
• Build test apparatus integrated with system equipment.
• Update schematics and preventative maintenance records.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support cross‑functional teams.
