Job summary

ALTEN USA is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to drive PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes for aerospace applications. The role emphasizes DFM, DFA, and DFT, bridging engineering, quality, and outsourced manufacturing partners on design feedback and production release.

You will review schematics, BOMs, and process standards, while supporting supplier qualification, CAPA, and cross-functional collaboration for successful NPI builds and manufacturability improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCB/PCBA manufacturing in aerospace/high-reliability settings.
• Knowledge of SMT reflow, hand soldering, and wave soldering.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 and J-STD standards.
• Ability to document processes and drive manufacturing investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFM, DFA, DFT activities across PCBA designs with design engineering input.
• Review schematics and BOM against manufacturing capabilities and drive changes.
• Create and maintain process standards, lessons learned, and inspection criteria.
• Support CAPA and root-cause analysis for defects and yield issues.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers and cross-functional teams on NPI builds.
