Qualifications

• Experience in PCB/PCBA manufacturing in aerospace/high-rel electronics.
• Knowledge of component packaging types, land patterns, and assembly tolerances.
• Experience with SMT reflow, hand soldering and wave soldering, including profile development.
• Hands-on inspection methods: 3D, X-ray, AOI; interpret data for process improvement.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 and J-STD; MIL-SPEC for high-rel electronics assembly.
• Proven DFM/DFA/DFT experience with design reviews.
• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills; cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for working with contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Establish DFM, DFA, and DFT activities across PCBA designs with design and manufacturing partners.
• Review schematics, layouts, and BOMs against capabilities; drive design-for-X changes to closure.
• Document PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes and maintain current process standards and best practices.
• Support CAPA, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions for defects and yield issues.
• Establish detailed manufacturing/build requirements and communicate to contract manufacturers.
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, Test, and Supply Chain to reflect manufacturing needs in drawings and specs.
• Support NPI builds, process validation, and transition to full-rate production.
