Job summary

Testek Inc. seeks an experienced Electronics Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot electronic hardware for aerospace test equipment and industrial test systems.

You will work on analog, digital, mixed-signal, PCB, FPGA, embedded, and DAQ systems, interfacing with multiple engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions. The role involves schematic capture, BOM management, hardware bring-up, debugging, and field support for installations, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of electrical/electronics engineering experience.
  • Strong experience in electronics hardware design.
  • Experience with PCB schematic capture and PCB layout (5+ years).
  • Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Experience with FPGA development using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition systems, ADC/DAC, instrumentation, and signal conditioning.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or FPGA/SoC systems.
  • Experience with hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC power and control systems.
  • Experience with Ethernet, RS-232/485, CAN, SPI, I²C, UART.
  • Ability to interpret customer specs, SOWs, datasheets, and drawings.
  • Knowledge of NEC, IEC, IPC and aerospace design standards.
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication.
  • US Green Card or US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for aerospace test equipment.
  • Create schematics and multi-layer PCB designs using Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintain BOMs, component specs, and manufacturing docs.
  • Component selection and circuit calculations per requirements.
  • Design and troubleshoot FPGA-based digital systems (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog).
  • Support embedded processors and microcontroller hardware.
  • Design/integrate DAQ and instrumentation systems.
  • Develop signal-conditioning for sensors (voltage, current, temperature, etc.).
  • Interface hardware with Ethernet, RS-232/485, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
  • Interface with PLCs, HMIs, PCs, servo drives, motors, load banks.
  • Prototype bring-up, power-up debugging, calibration, validation.
  • Use test equipment for troubleshooting; EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding.
  • Assist technicians with PCB assembly and system integration.
  • Support customer installations, FAT/SAT, field troubleshooting.
  • Develop standardized hardware platforms and reusable designs.
  • Prepare engineering docs, test procedures, and revisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet scope and quality.
  • Travel up to 20%.
