Testek Solutions is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware for Aerospace Test Equipment and Industrial Test Systems.

The engineer will work on analog, digital, mixed-signal, PCB, FPGA, embedded, and data acquisition systems, collaborating with project teams to deliver reliable, standardized electrical solutions for customized test equipment.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of electrical/electronics engineering experience.
  • Experience with PCB schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • FPGA development using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition systems and instrumentation.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or FPGA/SoC systems.
  • Hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of NEC, IEC, IPC and aerospace electronic design standards.
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • MS Word and Excel proficiency.
  • US Green Card or US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for aerospace test equipment.
  • Create schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintain BOMs, component specs, and PCB documentation.
  • Select components and perform circuit calculations per requirements.
  • Design and troubleshoot FPGA-based digital systems using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Support embedded processors and microcontroller hardware.
  • Integrate DAQ and instrumentation systems.
  • Develop signal-conditioning for sensors and interfaces.
  • Interface with PLCs, HMIs, PCs, servo drives, motors, and load banks.
  • Prototype hardware bring-up, power-up debugging, calibration, validation.
  • Use oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, power supplies for troubleshooting.
  • Assist with EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, ESD mitigation.
  • Travel up to 20% as needed.

Description

Testek Solutions is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware for Aerospace Test Equipment and Industrial Test Systems.

The engineer will design and develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, PCB, FPGA, embedded, and data acquisition systems. Responsibilities include schematic development, PCB design, component selection, BOM development, hardware bring-up, debugging, testing, and system integration.

The engineer will work closely with Project Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Software Engineers, and Technicians to interpret customer specifications and Scope of Work (SOW) requirements and develop reliable, standardized electronic solutions for custom test equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits for aerospace test equipment.
  • Create electronic schematics and multi-layer PCB designs using Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintain accurate BOMs, component specifications, and PCB manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform electronic component selection and circuit calculations based on customer and engineering requirements.
  • Design and troubleshoot FPGA-based digital systems using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Support embedded processor and microcontroller-based hardware.
  • Design and integrate Data Acquisition (DAQ) and instrumentation systems.
  • Develop signal-conditioning circuits for voltage, current, temperature, pressure, speed, vibration, RTD, thermocouple, LVDT, encoder, and other sensors.
  • Design and troubleshoot interfaces including Ethernet, RS-232/485, CAN, SPI, I²C, UART, ADC/DAC, and digital/analog I/O.
  • Interface electronic hardware with PLCs, HMIs, PCs, servo drives, VFDs, motors, generators, and load banks.
  • Perform prototype hardware bring-up, power-up debugging, calibration, and validation.
  • Use oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Support EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, ESD, and electrical noise mitigation.
  • Assist technicians with PCB assembly, wiring, system integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Support customer installations, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and field troubleshooting as required.
  • Develop standardized electronic hardware platforms and reusable designs.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, test procedures, reports, and design revisions.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project technical, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Travel up to 20%.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of electrical/electronics engineering experience.
  • Strong experience in electronics hardware design.
  • Experience with PCB schematic capture and PCB layout, preferably 5+ years.
  • Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Experience with FPGA development using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition systems, ADC/DAC, instrumentation, and signal conditioning.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, or FPGA/SoC systems.
  • Experience with hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC power and control systems.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet, RS-232/485, CAN, SPI, I²C, and UART.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications, SOWs, schematics, datasheets, and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of applicable NEC, IEC, IPC, and aerospace electronic design standards.
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • US Green Card or US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace or automotive test equipment experience.
  • Experience with aircraft generator, starter-generator, IDG, VFSG, or APU test systems.
  • Experience with high-voltage/high-power test equipment and load banks.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, or AutomationDirect PLC/HMI systems.
  • Experience with servo drives and VFDs.
  • Knowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and IPC standards.
  • Experience with customer acceptance testing, installation, and commissioning.
