Parker Aerospace in Irvine, CA is seeking an Electronic Component Engineer to research, analyze, and test component parts, ensuring compliance and optimizing lifecycle management. You will work with electronics designers, PCB manufacturers, and suppliers to identify substitutions and document evaluations.

The role requires hands-on experience with electronic/electromechanical COTS components, familiarity with MIL/NASA specs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline; typically 4–6 years of related experience.
• Hands-on component engineering with electronic/electro-mechanical COTS components; circuitry design experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with military/NASA specifications (e.g., MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-202).
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present technical information clearly.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers; support electronics designers with component research and lifecycle management.
• Ensure RoHS and Reach compliance; monitor supplier errata and create reports.
• Interact with PCB manufacturers and OEM component vendors to resolve manufacturing and supply chain issues.
• Create and maintain eCAD symbol libraries and design documentation, including source control specs and BOMs.
• Review BOMs for clarity and conformity, propose revisions and engineering changes.
