Job summary

IonQ, Inc., based in Maryland, is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our hardware assembly team in Broomfield, Colorado. You will perform incoming inspection, assembly, staking, and coating of electronic flight hardware, ensuring IPC criteria and complete traceability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-reliability electronics manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in SMT and through-hole assembly and rework.
• Experience inspecting Class 3 electronic assemblies.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 quality principles and configuration control.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming visual inspection of all PCBAs using IPC-A-610 acceptance criteria.
• Assemble, inspect, and verify electronic flight hardware and cable/harness assemblies.
• Perform staking, conformal coating, and final workmanship verification.
• Execute SMT and through-hole rework and repair in accordance with IPC-7711/7721.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for workmanship issues.
• Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, ECNs, and manufacturing travelers.
• Maintain complete product traceability and manufacturing records.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test.
• Champion ESD, FOD, and contamination-control practices.
