Job summary

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, an on-site assembler in Solon, OH, seeks an Electronic Assembler to join a team supporting aerospace and defense systems. You will read engineering drawings and perform precise soldering of PCB assemblies, following IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards, under a microscope.

This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional committed to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification to IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards is required or willing to obtain.
• 3–5 years of J-STD soldering experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify electronic component values.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies for aerospace and defense systems.
• Interpret and follow detailed visual aids, engineering drawings, and written instructions to assemble, modify, or rework units.
• Hand-load and solder PCB assemblies, including fine-pitch components, following IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards.
• Identify and repair soldering anomalies, working with both lead and lead-free solder under a microscope.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.
• Participate in offsite training to maintain industry certifications as required.
• Actively contribute ideas for process improvement and operational excellence.
