Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking an Electromagnetic Design Engineer to advance electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft. You will design, simulate, and validate motor-drive systems, interfacing with power electronics to optimize performance and cost.

The role requires leadership in design verification, collaboration with customers, and transitioning concepts to production within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electric motors and drives.
• Experience with electromagnetic design software: MotorCAD, Ansys Maxwell, Atlair Flux, SPEED and/or JMAG.
• Experience with other simulation software such as Mathematica.

Responsabilités

• Apply electromagnetic design concepts to motor designs for precision brushless DC motor drive systems.
• Generate designs using MotorCAD, Ansys Maxwell, Atlair Flux, SPEED and/or JMAG and prepare reports.
• Integrate power electronics with motor design and verify with tests.
• Interface with customers and translate requirements into product design.
• Document designs, test plans, and changes with MS Excel/Word and reports.
