Job summary

Ascent Aerospace, LLC in Michigan is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to perform wiring, installation, troubleshooting and repair of automated systems on large integration programs. The role involves wiring panels, powering control panels, wiring process heads and feeders, and ensuring safety and compliance with applicable electrical codes.

Frequent travel to customer facilities (up to 30%) is required.

Qualifications

This position requires reading electrical schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Export Control Compliance requires a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
Minimum two years of electrical experience; high school diploma or GED; associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform PMs and repair electrical systems of industrial machinery.
Follow electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints/schematics and wiring diagrams (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment; connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Wire machines, run conduit, build control panels.
Run pneumatic lines to valves and cylinders.
Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and repair/replace.
Ensure the safety of the electrical systems.
Repair or replace wires, cables or other fixtures/equipment using hand tools.
Perform troubleshooting; start up and de-bug of machinery.
Travel to customer facilities for machine installations and service.
