Job summary

Ascent Aerospace in Michigan is looking for an experienced professional to become the automation product line expert. You will support customer maintenance teams directly and work alongside project managers and sales staff to link engineering and operations.

Ideal candidates will have expertise in diagnosing complex industrial control systems, including PLCs and CNC controllers, contributing significantly to the aerospace manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Field Service experience or 2-3 years Controls Engineer experience.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs and work extended hours including weekends.
• Knowledge of automation and machine tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex industrial control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics using multi-meters.
• Support Field Service Engineers and travel to customer sites.

Skills

Field Service experience

Problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Experience in aerospace manufacturing

Knowledge of PLCs and CNC
