Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician in Wixom, MI for contract fabrication of electrical panels used in aerospace cabinets. You will read schematics, wire to print, install and test box assemblies, and ensure quality and safety in a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities cover wiring 480V/240V/120V systems, soldering, testing with oscilloscopes, and collaborating with teammates to meet delivery goals while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' electrical assembly experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to wire to print using schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with 480V/240V/120V systems and test equipment.
• Strong soldering and diagnosis skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble electrical panel boxes for cabinets used in aerospace applications.
• Perform electrical assembly tasks, including wiring, installation, and panel builds, from start to finish.
• Interpret and wire to print using electrical schematics and blueprints to complete panel box assemblies accurately.
• Install, route, and terminate wiring for 480V, 240V, and 120V systems, with the ability to work with other voltages as needed.
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble mechanical and electrical components safely and efficiently.
• Perform soldering on electrical connections and components to ensure reliable and durable assemblies.
• Utilize test equipment, including oscilloscopes and other diagnostic tools, to verify proper operation of electrical panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues within panel boxes and assemblies, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Follow established assembly procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines throughout all stages of the build process.
• Maintain an organized workstation, manage parts and components, and contribute to continuous improvement in assembly processes.
• Collaborate with team members and support other technicians to meet production goals and project deadlines.
