Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an Electrical System Analysis and Test Engineer in Poway, CA, to plan and execute electrical system tests for unmanned aircraft subsystems.

You will develop MATLAB/Simulink models and tools, and perform power characterization for payloads and avionics within the UAS group. No relocation details are provided; travel and DoD clearance eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years experience with a bachelor's degree or 2+ with a master's.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts; familiarity with aerospace standards.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills; able to lead teams.
• Experience with system-level testing and MATLAB/Simulink environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute tests and analyses to inform electrical system design decisions.
• Develop software and analytical tools in MATLAB and System Composer.
• Perform power characterization and power throughput testing for payloads and avionics.
• Develop MATLAB/Simulink models to analyze system architectures.
• Coordinate with engineers and present results in program reviews and meetings.
