Job summary

RTX is seeking an on-site internship/co-op in Cedar Rapids to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing electrical engineering, supporting high-frequency radios and circuit board production.

You will interpret drawings, analyze tolerance issues, and participate in capacity planning, defect reduction, and root cause analysis. Training and development programs accompany exposure to SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, eView, and PDM tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, CS Engineering, or related STEM.
• Background in Root Cause Analysis.
• Relevant experience from coursework, projects, or on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
• Analyze and resolve design tolerance issues.
• Evaluate, select, and order capital test equipment, with cost/payback analysis.
• Support capacity planning and utilization analysis.
• Identify and address routine test defects and improve test yields.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test failures.
