Job summary

FMS Aerospace in Huntsville, AL seeks a full-time Electrical Assembly Lead to run day-to-day electrical assembly work, assign jobs, set priorities, and ensure workmanship and documentation meet quality standards. The role also involves leading the electrical assembly team and training junior technicians.

You will review drawings and BOMs, manage multiple jobs, and enforce AS9100, ESD, FOD, and shop safety practices in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

Must read drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and bills of material.
Lead daily electrical assembly work and train technicians.
Maintain strict documentation and quality standards in a production shop.

Responsibilities

Lead daily electrical assembly work, assign jobs, set priorities, track status.
Review incoming work packages for drawings, BOMs, revisions, information.
Check in-process cables, harnesses, and assemblies for quality and drawing compliance.
Train technicians on build methods, tooling, ESD, FOD and quality expectations.
Keep multiple jobs moving and raise risks to management early.
Maintain routers and shop records for accurate configuration status.
Enforce AS9100, ESD, FOD, tool-control and shop safety.
