Job Description
SEAKR is looking for a motivated, energetic Component Engineer (EEE Parts Engineer) to support the selection, application, and test of components for spacecraft electronics. This role supports the Product Assurance Department, reporting to the Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) Manager, focusing on quality and reliability in part selection and testing. The position is flexible for on-site, hybrid, or remote work. Responsibilities include:

1. Select electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components based on space program requirements and maintain Bills of Material (BOM).
2. Generate Non-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPAR) and support approval processes with customers.
3. Develop component qualification and up-screening requirements, including for COTS components.
4. Generate component qualification and screening reports.
5. Create specifications for new custom components.
6. Perform pre-cap source inspections at supplier facilities.
7. Review and disposition component test data and destructive physical analysis results.
8. Support component failure analyses and corrective actions.
9. Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and customers.
10. Maintain understanding of manufacturer technologies and process capabilities.
11. Support project design reviews internally and with customers.
12. Create and maintain part data in ERP systems.
13. Travel up to approximately 25% as needed.
14. Act as the company GIDEP representative, assessing published alerts for impact on hardware.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
2. 5+ years of EEE Parts Engineering experience in aerospace or a similar regulated field.
3. Knowledge of military performance specifications (e.g., MIL-STD series).
4. Effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
5. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
6. Experience with EEE pre-cap or final source inspections and part analysis techniques.
7. Ability to evaluate non-conforming parts for reliability and mission risk.

Desired Skills

1. Familiarity with ECSS, NASA, or other standards.
2. Experience with electronics manufacturing and testing.
3. Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
4. Leadership or mentoring experience.
5. Experience with connectors and cabling for space applications.

Additional Information
