Job summary

GE Aerospace in Newark, NJ is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Technician for aerospace manufacturing. You will maintain electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and related equipment, ensuring high uptime and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include calibrating process instrumentation, troubleshooting electrical & control systems, and supporting equipment installation and RCA/PHA activities, with strong emphasis on reliability and

Qualifications

Technical diploma or High School Diploma, associate degree, or apprenticeship in Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent certification
Minimum 5 years industrial E&I maintenance experience in manufacturing, processing, utilities, or labs
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain required security clearance

Responsibilities

Maintain production and facility equipment with emphasis on electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and equipment reliability
Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.) and troubleshoot related systems
Install, support, and diagnose instrumentation devices, wiring, and control system components
Support RCA and PHA efforts, work with operators and engineers to resolve issues quickly
Document maintenance work, calibration records, and maintenance history
Follow EHS requirements and electrical codes, participate in safety and training
