Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems, a unit of Howmet Aerospace, seeks a Drafter in Kingston, NY to prepare detailed drawings and BOMs for Huck Installation Equipment. You will build prototypes, run tests, and provide design feedback to Engineers.

Apply your expertise in 3D CAD (NX), document design specifications, and ensure drawings meet production requirements. Associates degree and 3 years drafting experience are preferred; ITAR compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience drafting in a mechanical engineering group using 3D CAD (NX preferred).
• Experience in product development or testing or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; ITAR compliance requires U.S. person status.

Responsibilities

• Accurately details parts and assemblies.
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing.
• Prepares layout drawings and BOMs; produces TCX inspection drawings.
• Operates 3D CAD and related equipment; builds prototypes and tests designs.
• Conducts experiments, collects data, and analyzes prototype performance.
