Job summary

Aerotek in Santa Ana, CA seeks an entry-level Dotter to prepare rubber preforms for aerospace manufacturing. The role supports Press Operators, dots prep materials, and helps maintain production flow on 2nd shift with potential 1st shift training.

No prior manufacturing experience required; ITAR compliance and safety are essential. This initial four-month contract offers hands-on learning and opportunities for growth within manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role; no prior manufacturing experience or resume required.
• Past production or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Openness to learning a new trade and adapting to different tasks within the facility.
• Interest in long-term employment and growth within a manufacturing environment.
• Comfort working in an ITAR-regulated facility and following all related procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with Spanish-speaking leadership and coworkers, as well as individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Dot preforms (prep) in a timely and efficient manner, following designated markings and instructions.
• Organize prep materials carefully to ensure no parts are mixed, overlooked, or missed from being dotted.
• Maintain only one order of prep on the table at a time to prevent contamination or mix-ups.
• Manage personal workflow to assist as many Press Operators as possible with loading parts when needed.
• Support Press Operators by loading preps onto loading boards before they are needed for the next molding cycle, ensuring smooth production flow.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices in the work area.
• Understand and implement the health and safety policy and incorporate safety considerations into daily tasks.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicate with team members as needed to coordinate prep loading and support production schedules.
• Participate in training and skill development opportunities to learn new tasks and potentially move into other manufacturing roles.
