Job summary

Rocketdyne is seeking a Dimensional Inspector D to inspect aerospace components onsite at our Redmond, WA facility. The role involves interpreting drawings, collecting data, performing FAIs, and using surface plates, CMMs, optical comparators, and vision systems to ensure parts meet print requirements.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience (or an associate degree with related experience).

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Create CMM programs using CAMIO software and interpret GD&T.
• Experience in dimensional inspection and quality control in aerospace contexts.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure parts meet drawing requirements.
• Use data collection per work instructions from manufacturing engineers.
• Perform first article inspections (FAIs).
• Check parts on a surface plate with precision measuring tools.
• Operate CMM, optical comparator and vision systems to ensure program compliance.
