Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - DevSecOps (Finance) to drive architecture, modernization, and security of mission-critical software across cloud, embedded, and avionics platforms. You will lead a software team, implement DevSecOps and SSDLC, and ensure DO-178C and related aerospace standards are met through automation, testing, and secure coding practices.

This role reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline as listed.
8+ years of software engineering experience.
3+ years in technical leadership leading software teams or large projects.
Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Experience with embedded systems/RTOS and aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

Drive DevSecOps strategy, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and security scanning.
Lead modernization efforts migrating legacy apps to cloud-native architectures.
Define and implement secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
Collaborate with systems, hardware, cybersecurity, certification, and product teams.
Ensure compliance with DO-178C, ARP4754A, and related requirements.
Mentor engineers and drive software quality metrics and best practices.
Promote modern software technologies and AI-assisted development where appropriate.
