Job summary

Safran Seats, Gainesville facility in Texas, is seeking a Design Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality assurance for design and development. You will drive APQP deployment, monitor performance, manage audits, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards to support safe, high-quality aerospace seating products.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, validate tests, and ensure readiness for reviews and milestones across programs.

Qualifications

• Science or Engineering Bachelor degree or 6 years of related design quality experience in lieu of the degree
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace industry (preferred) or equivalent, preferably in Design Quality, 3+ years in management
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO19011, AS9100, AS9145, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001
• APQP Tools knowledge and domain, PDCA, DMAIC and other related tools knowledge
• Experience in internal and external audit and audit techniques

Responsibilities

• Ensure that internal and external requirements (customers, regulations, applicable standards) are taken into account
• Ensure proper performance monitoring and review as well as actions taken when necessary to achieve the results
• Assess development maturity in preparation for reviews and milestones
• Report alerts, risk and opportunities to the development team and assist on its management and treatment
• Stop any action that could have an unacceptable impact on the quality of a product or service
• Help teams implement best practices and conduct resource validation and qualification (test benches, prototypes, test facilities)
