EXTEX, a division of Kaman located in Gilbert, AZ, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to contribute to aerospace components and systems for aircraft gas turbine engines. Primary duties include creating SolidWorks drawings, developing PMA packages, and coordinating with vendors through design, testing, and certification.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and familiarity with FAA requirements, plus the ability to drive projects

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years related experience in engineering.
• Familiarity with engineering specifications (AS, ASME, Mil, ASTM).
• Experience working with outside vendors.
• Familiarity with FAA or similar regulatory bodies.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling packages such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Mansioni

• Create drawings and 3D models of aerospace components using SolidWorks for new product development and improvements.
• Write technical documents, substantiation packages, and FAA reports.
• Project manage multiple PMA projects through all phases to meet goals and timelines.
• Interface with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams and external vendors to complete deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews and assist with validation/verification of work.
• Maintain records required by regulatory agencies for new product development.
