The Structures Company is seeking a Design Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX. The role focuses on Creo-based design of major components and assemblies for aerospace/defense products, with Windchill data management and a requirement for an active Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications include 3+ years Creo, 2+ years Windchill, 4+ years 3D modeling, and GD&T experience. Must be a U.S. person under ITAR; 4/10 shift, contract position with potential for extension.

Formación

• Active Interim Secret clearance to start.
• U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
• 4+ years creating finished 3D models.
• 2+ years Windchill PLM or PDM.
• 2+ years mechanical primary and secondary structures.
• 1+ year concept development.
• 1+ year design review content preparation.
• 2+ years Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• 2+ years with complex mechanical or electrical concepts.
• Desirable: Model-Based Definition (MBD).

Responsabilidades

• Designs major components and major portions of functional systems and prototypes.
• Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.
• Develops layouts, sketches, and notes to present design proposals.
• Investigates design factors including manufacturability, materials, interchangeability, weight and cost.
• Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.
• Makes layouts of assemblies and details of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.
• Checks layouts and drawings for clarity, conformity to standards, and accuracy.
• Identifies design errors and recommends revisions or improvements.
• Applies Creo design for mechanical and structural product definition.
• Uses Windchill PLM or PDM for product data and configuration management.
