Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in technical writing or aerospace/defense context.
• Ability to translate complex technical data into clear documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Word and desktop publishing.
• Experience producing operations and maintenance manuals and procedures.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, format, and maintain technical documentation for aerospace/defense systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and SMEs to gather information.
• Create operations, maintenance, technical, and procedural manuals.
• Review drawings, schematics, and CAD models to understand system functionality.
• Develop templates and graphics resources for documentation.
• Support preparation of CDRLs, test plans, and procedures.
• Host documentation review meetings and incorporate revisions.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver documentation on schedule.
