Job summary

CACI is seeking a Data Scientist to develop anomaly detection and maintenance prediction models for Navy aircraft data. You will handle large sensor datasets, write scalable code, and work with engineers and maintenance staff to improve fleet readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or CS, 0–3 years of experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Collaboration with diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 0–3 years of job experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MATLAB and Python.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen, and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various aircraft sensors, maintenance logs, and operational data.
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards to ensure maintainability and long-term performance of applications.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in aircraft performance and maintenance data.
  • Design and implement anomaly detection algorithms to identify unusual behaviors in aircraft data.
  • Develop machine learning models to detect component failures or malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with Aerospace Engineers, Software Engineers, Maintenance Personnel, and other project stakeholders.
