Job summary

CACI has an immediate need for a Data Scientist–Mid-level to join our mission-critical team at Bolling AFB, DC. You will develop mathematical models, apply ML/AI methods, and design dashboards in Tableau to support defense intelligence analysis and reporting.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of related experience (or 2+ with a Master’s), strong Python/SQL skills, NLP knowledge, and AWS experience. You’ll work with a team on diverse datasets and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of directly related experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years related experience.
• Experience with programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis.
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, AI, or NLP.
• Ability to create reports and present key insights from analysis.
• Knowledge of NLP with NLP methodologies such as TF-IDF or FastText.
• Experience programming in an AWS cloud environment.
• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain/maintain CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply fundamental mathematics to collect, organize, interpret and summarize numerical data to generate usable information for defense analysis.
• Plan and perform data collection and data processing; check for inaccuracies.
• Design, test, install, maintain, operate, and develop in Python and SQL.
• Produce results of analyses in graphs, charts, tables, and metrics using Tableau.
• Prepare written and visual products to describe findings and research.
• Ensure discoverability of analytics reporting via webpages & dashboards; create new dashboards as needed.
• Develop and refine quantitative, qualitative & business analysis skills; stay aware of new methods/tools.
• Apply IT knowledge to deliver solutions that meet customer data needs.
