Job summary

RTCA, a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer based in Rockford, Michigan, is hiring a Customer Accounts Manager to own the customer relationship from RFQ through delivery. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Contracts, Estimating, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Shipping to align customer expectations with internal execution and protect on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field or equivalent aerospace manufacturing experience.
• 4+ years of customer service, account management, or program management in aerospace, precision machining, or defense manufacturing.
• Experience independently owning customer accounts, including purchase orders and schedules, in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to de-escalate customer complaints and coordinate cross-department resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact and relationship owner for assigned accounts.
• Oversee customer service activities including RFQs, order intake, PO changes, acknowledgements, and customer portals.
• Set and communicate delivery commitments; report account status to customers and leadership.
• Coordinate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Shipping to align requirements with production plans.
• Lead escalations and recovery for late or at-risk orders with cross-division teams.
• Support contract reviews and flow-down requirements with Estimating and Sales on quotes.
• Maintain account trackers and milestone reports.
