Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Conventional Machinist for first shift (Mon–Fri, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM). Overtime and weekend work may be required.

The role focuses on setting up and operating conventional machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, with emphasis on safety and quality. You will work with engineering and manufacturing teams to interpret blueprints, measure parts with precision instruments, and adjust setups to maintain tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience in conventional machining with on‑the‑job and informal training.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and comparators.
• Familiar with safety procedures and regulations; GD&T understanding.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using conventional lathes, mills, shapers, grinders or drill presses.
• Communicate with engineering, supervision, or manufacturing to exchange technical information.
• Inspect and test completed units to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments.
