Job summary

Parker Aerospace Exotic Metals Forming Division is seeking a skilled Control Systems Programmer to design and re-program machine control systems, write detailed specifications, generate documentation, and support automation applications across aerospace manufacturing.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5–7 years of experience programming controls for safety-critical systems, plus 5–7 years in modern OO languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline.
• 5-7 years’ experience programming controls for safety critical physical systems.
• 5-7 years’ experience programming in modern object-oriented languages.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Automation Engineer and the end customer to develop detailed control system functional specification.
• Architect control system software.
• Support the creation of project time and effort estimates.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug systems in coordination with Control Systems Technicians and Automation Engineers
• Develop and maintain company’s supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system
• Knowledge of basic hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems as related to control systems and automation.
