Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an on-site Configuration Analyst in Elkton, MD to support configuration management across engineering, manufacturing, and data-control teams. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy of drawings, BOMs, revisions, and records throughout the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate documentation, review contracts, and analyze design changes while following established procedures and collaborating with cross-functional teams to keep programs on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding of ERP, PLM, and MES systems supporting configuration management.
• Familiarity with configuration data including part numbers, BOMs, routings, and change-control concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation including drawings, production specifications, schedules, and contract modifications.
• Review contracts and project requirements to determine documentation needed through each phase.
• Analyze proposed product-design changes and evaluate their impact on products and systems.
• Coordinate modification records to maintain configuration control.
• Establish change orders and prepare documentation for required change authorization.
• Review and analyze released engineering change data.
• Coordinate engineering changes with engineering, quality, manufacturing, support, and data-control teams.
• Maintain accurate configuration data and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work with part numbers, BOMs, revisions, routings, and other configuration-controlled data.
• Use ERP, PLM, MES, and standard office tools to track, manage, and report configuration information.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, work instructions.
• Follow established procedures while addressing configuration discrepancies.
