Job summary

Syensqo seeks a Composite Materials and Process Engineer to support long-term growth in the Americas within the Aerospace and Defense market segment. This role is part of the Applications Engineering function, the technical excellence arm inside Customer Engineering.

You will develop and advance new composite materials and processing technologies, lead cross-functional teams, identify technology gaps, and act as the primary technical interface with customers to articulate value propositions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Material Science required.
• 3+ years aerospace composites experience including problem solving, R&D and project management.
• 2+ years reviewing composite part designs for manufacturability and specification compliance.
• 3+ years in R&D of composite materials and processing technologies including simulation.
• 3+ years in aerospace industry experience including OEMs, suppliers, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance new composite materials and manufacturing technologies aligned with market trends and customer needs.
• Lead cross-functional development efforts to convert innovation opportunities into viable solutions by integrating material selection, manufacturing processes, and part design.
• Identify technology gaps and advise on future product and process development priorities.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, acting as the voice of the customer within Syensqo's internal teams.
• Promote Syensqo products and technologies, clearly articulating value propositions to customers.
