Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Composite Technician Assembler at its Adelanto, CA facility.

Under limited supervision, you will assist in the fabrication, curing, lay-up and assembly of composite materials, following blueprints and process sheets in a loud workshop environment. Responsibilities include preparing molds, cutting and fitting materials, drilling and fastening to blueprint tolerances, applying epoxy coatings, and maintaining quality records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with two+ years of related experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Respirator certification and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of molds and forms.
• Route, drill, trim, and install fasteners to blueprint dimensions.
• Lay up composite materials and assist in the lay-up process.
• Prepare surfaces and paint components including bodywork and coatings.
• Maintain records and ensure quality and safety in the shop.
