Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5–10 years of experience in component engineering, hardware design support, or related electronics manufacturing.
  • Direct aerospace experience with AS9100 and DO-254 standards.
  • A strong background with ruggedized computing systems for harsh environments.
  • A deep familiarity with active/passive electronic components, PCBs, and connectors.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate component specifications against design requirements to ensure environmental and performance criteria.
  • Monitor end-of-life notices and implement mitigation strategies such as lifetime buys or alternatives.
  • Identify qualified suppliers and support sourcing, review manufacturing change notices, resolve supplier issues.
  • Ensure selected components comply with aerospace regulations and environmental directives.
  • Maintain the component database, internal part numbers, and technical documentation.
