Job summary

Hohman Plating, a division of Novaria Group, in Dayton, OH, seeks a Process Engineer (Aerospace Coatings) to troubleshoot production processes, drive improvements, and apply engineering practices to reduce costs.

The role requires a B.S. in Engineering and 3+ years of related experience, with strong problem-solving tool knowledge and the ability to read technical drawings. Mentoring Co-Ops and technicians is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials engineering.
• 3+ years of related experience and training preferred.
• Proficiency with problem solving tools (5 Whys, Is/Is Not, Pareto diagrams, DOE, FMEA).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and manufacturing consistency.
• Provide process expertise to internal and external customers to utilize and expand the intellectual property of the business.
• Mentor and develop Co-Ops, Analysts, and Technicians.
• Assist in evaluating feasibility and coordinating conceptual production processes.
