Job summary

Spherion Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist in Ogden, UT to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. You will perform complex setups, read blueprints with GD&T, edit G-code, and ensure first-article inspection accuracy in a tight-tolerance, 6S environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or journeyman card preferred.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in CNC setup, blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision machining.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for aerospace security clearance).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex setups, tear-downs, and first-article inspections on multi-axis CNC mills or lathes.
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T with precision.
• Edit G-code/M-code at the machine control panel to optimize tool paths and cycle times.
• Perform SPC data collection and verify parts using advanced inspection tools.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
