Job summary

Williams International in Ogden, Utah, designs and manufactures jet engines for both military and commercial aircraft applications. The CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, ensuring parts are machined to engineering tolerances and standards.

You will inspect parts, adjust tooling, and document machining data while following strict safety rules and contributing to continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing cell.

Qualifications

• High School or GED and a minimum of 2 years of machining experience.
• Reads, understands and correctly interprets blueprints, planning and manufacturing specifications.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of machining and/or testing related mathematical concepts.
• Has basic knowledge of inspection requirements and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operation of miscellaneous CNC and/or manual machines, including CNC ID Grinder.
• Machine and/or test parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
• Participate in establishing manufacturing methods, including machine, test, material and tooling requirements.
• Perform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure parts are machined to specs.
• Provide input for selecting and adjusting cutting tools to suit material and tolerance.
