Job summary

Manpower Group in Mead, CO is seeking a hands-on Setup Machinist for a dynamic aerospace shop. You will own setups from print to first article and work closely with programmers to dial in jobs and ensure precision. A strong aerospace background and ability to troubleshoot on the fly are essential.

This temp-to-hire role offers exposure to tight tolerances, 3–5 axis machining, and opportunities for process improvements within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 2–8+ years of CNC machining and setup experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
• Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc or Haas.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances on complex aerospace parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills and lathes (3–5 axis preferred) for aerospace components.
• Prepare tooling, fixturing, materials, and offsets per program requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure accurate setups.
• Run first articles and adjust processes before production release.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers on progress and improvements.
• Troubleshoot setup issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform in-process inspections with precision instruments.
