Hirebridge in Connecticut is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and support high-precision aerospace machining programs using Siemens NX or comparable CAD/CAM software. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and quality teams to improve process efficiency.

Experience with large castings or rotating aerospace components is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing or CNC machining experience.
• Experience with Siemens NX or other CAD/CAM platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Clear communication and organizational abilities.

Responsabilités

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for complex parts using NX or similar CAD/CAM software.
• Create machining programs and process plans for large castings and rotating aerospace components.
• Review drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and specs to determine machining needs.
• Develop machining strategies, toolpaths, sequences, and setup procedures.
• Select tools, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
• Calculate dimensions, angles, radii, and geometric requirements.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling instructions, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and production teams to ensure efficiency and repeatability.
• Support program prove-outs, machine setups, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with machine operation during testing and validation when required.
• Analyze and revise programs to reduce scrap and improve cycle times.
• Use CNC simulation/verification software to pre-validate programs.
• Support corrective actions for programming-related nonconformances.
• Work with Quality and Manufacturing to improve dimensional accuracy.
