Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Operator for an aerospace manufacturing client in the Barkhamsted, CT area. The role requires operating CNC milling machines, reading blueprints, and performing in-process inspections to ensure precision components meet strict aerospace standards.

You will work with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling centers, handle micrometers/calipers, and maintain a safe, organized work area on day or night shifts. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of CNC milling operator experience.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Experience operating vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis machining centers.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Operate vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.
• Run 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling machines.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Verify parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance and report any issues to supervisors.
