Barkhamsted, CT – An established aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Operator to join its precision machining team. This on-site, full-time role focuses on producing aerospace components that meet strict quality standards and requires hands-on experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling, precision inspection, and blueprint interpretation.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of CNC milling experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of CNC milling operator experience.
  • Experience operating vertical CNC mills.
  • Experience operating horizontal CNC mills.
  • Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers.
  • Proficient with micrometers, swing gauges, calipers, and other inspection equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Reliable and able to work independently or with a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Commitment to safe manufacturing practices.

Location: Barkhamsted, CT | Schedule: Full-time, on-site (Day Shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or Night Shift 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)

Overview

An established aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Operator to join its precision machining team. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives in a stable, high-quality manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing components that meet strict aerospace standards.

What you'll do
  • Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace components
  • Operate vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers
  • Run 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Verify parts meet customer specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor machine performance and report any issues to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures
