Job summary

DRT Holdings, LLC in Connecticut seeks a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to set up and operate HMCs and VMCs, read blueprints, and produce aerospace components to tight tolerances.

You will work with Engineering and Quality to ensure on-time delivery, maintain tooling, perform in-process inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CNC machining in a precision environment.
• Hands-on setup and operation of CNC Milling Machines (HMCs & VMCs).
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and spec documents.
• Experience with tooling, fixturing and precision inspection gear.
• Attention to detail and teamwork in a quality-focused setting.
• Independent work style with collaboration in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Milling Machines (HMCs/VMCs).
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and first-piece inspections.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure spec compliance.
• Manufacture aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Conduct in-process measurements with calipers and micrometers.
• Adjust tooling and programs to maintain quality and throughput.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor tool life and improve machining cycles.
• Document production and quality data accurately.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
