We need a professional who is comfortable managing CNC milling machine setups and operations, creating high-precision components, and conducting rigorous quality checks to verify that all parts adhere to our demanding aerospace specifications.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute setups and manage the operation of CNC milling equipment.
- Analyze and translate technical blueprints, operational guides, and work instructions.
- Conduct thorough first-piece, in-process, and final quality evaluations.
- Utilize precision instruments like micrometers and calipers to verify finished part accuracy and help maintain our high quality standards.
- Configure tooling and input offsets to ensure machine precision.
- Resolve machining, tooling, or production challenges to help improve overall operational efficiency.
- Manage multiple CNC milling units simultaneously when production demands require it.
- Maintain precise records for all production, quality, and inspection tasks.
- Handle standard machine upkeep and ensure the workspace remains tidy and organized.
- Help maintain a safe working environment by strictly adhering to AS9100, ISO 9001, and 6S protocols.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on CNC milling background.
- Proven ability to perform full machine setups independently.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools, including indicators, calipers, and micrometers, to ensure part integrity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of machining principles, including optimal feeds, speeds, and tooling selection.
- Experience in managing machine offsets and configuring tooling.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight to support team goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work history within the aerospace industry.
- Experience operating 3-, 4-, or 5-axis milling platforms.
- Completion of a machining certification, apprenticeship, or technical schooling.
