Job summary

A-1 Machining Company in New Britain, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the accurate machining of aerospace components and lead process improvements.

You will program CNC turning and milling, create setup and tool sheets, design tooling, manage projects, review contracts, and ensure drawings and files are current while interfacing with customers for technical information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Knowledge of Mastercam, Solidworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC turning and milling to meet specified final dimensions.
• Create setup sheets, tool sheets and control documentation for aerospace parts.
• Create drawings for projects and products.
• Design specialized tooling, fixtures, jigs or other devices to assist with manufactured products.
• Manage projects from start to finish.
• Review contracts for completeness and raise questions to the appropriate source.
• Verify that calculations and design activities have been performed and checked.
• Verify that all related files are current.
• Interface with customers for technical information and pricing/contract issues.
• Carry out problem solving and process improvements including cost reduction.
• Perform other duties as required to support the business.
